Event Summary
Award winning investigative journalist and bestselling novelist Stephanie Clifford's latest release, "The Farewell Tour" is starts in our own 'backyard' of Walla Walla, WA. Published in March 2023 by Harper, is called "Breathtaking...a shimmering paean to the deeply flawed American West" (New York Times); "Like a particularly sharp country song, it takes cliches and untangles and renews them....Alternating chapters between Lil’s troubled past and her last-hurrah present, Clifford intensifies the feeling of history catching up with her, adding twists that underscore the consequences of trauma and its neglect." (Washington Post. )
More Details

From the author of the New York Times bestseller Everybody Rise, a rich and riveting novel with the exquisite historical detail and evocative settings of "The Cold Millions" and "Great Circle" (both prior Northwest Passages selections!) that tells the story of one unforgettable woman’s rise in country and western music.
