Carla Crujido has created a riveting, magical collection of short stories centered around the Mount Vernon Apartments in Spokane. Inspired by family lore and a little help from an actual advertisement found in The Spokesman-Review, these short stories take a look into the lives of ten tenants over a hundred years.
