Event Summary

Get me rewrite! Newspapers in the movies

At least in Hollywood, newspapers have never been bigger. With the upcoming release of “The Post,” starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, Spokesman-Review Editor Rob Curley shares his favorite movies focused on newspaper journalism. From the wonderfully goofy to the powerfully impactful, this fun movie night will be filled with decades-spanning clips and features a complete showing of the 1952 classic film, “Deadline, USA,” starring Humphrey Bogart.

After the movie, for those really feeling the love for the daily miracle, Rob will lead a rare, behind-the-scenes tour of The Spokesman-Review’s press operation.
