Join us at 7 p.m. for an evening of words and wine as J.A. Jance talks about her work in a conversation with Spokesman-Review Senior Editor Donna Wares.

When: The Northwest Passages Book Club hosts an Evening of Mystery (7 p.m.) and a Mystery Matinee (3 p.m.) on Wednesday, April 18.
Where: The Spokesman-Review Building, 999 West Riverside Ave. in Spokane.
What: Join best-selling author J.A. Jance for two lively events of words and wine.
General admission tickets: General admission tickets are free and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you reserve a ticket, your name will be at the check-in table.
Evening VIP tickets: The VIP package includes a copy of "Duel to the Death," a reserved seat for the book talk and a glass of wine at the adjacent Terra Blanca wine bar, starting at 5:45 p.m.
Mystery Matinee: We've added a second event with Jance starting at 3 p.m.
Book signing: Auntie's Bookstore will have copies of "Duel to the Death" at a 15 percent discount for book club readers before and during the events. Jance will sign books at the events.
Bonus: Join a newsroom tour led by Spokesman-Review Editor Rob Curley.
